Trusted by 100+ partners across Kenya's travel and tourism industry

Overview

Serengeti National Park, located in northern Tanzania, is one of the world’s most iconic wildlife reserves, celebrated for its vast open plains and the spectacular annual Great Migration; where over 1.5 million wildebeests, along with hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles, move in search of fresh grazing and water. Spanning approximately 14,750 square kilometers, the park supports an incredible diversity of wildlife, including large populations of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hyenas, crocodiles, and more than 500 bird species.

Established in 1951 and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Serengeti is part of the larger Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, which extends into Kenya’s Maasai Mara. With its stunning scenery, abundant wildlife, and unparalleled natural events, Serengeti offers one of the most unforgettable safari experiences in Africa.

The park plays a vital role in conservation and is managed by the Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA). It is also part of Tanzania’s renowned Northern Safari Circuit, frequently combined with visits to Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, and Tarangire National Parks.
